Reiki is the concept that everything is energy.  It is a healing art of channeling, clearing, balancing and healing chakras intentionally. Reiki has been a form of healing sine ancient Egypt, known as Sekhem.  Sekhem means the Power of Powers, it connects our own empowerment for both healing and self ( spiritual ) development. Which is also what is known as a Japanese technique called Reiki, which has been vastly more taught in America verses Sekhem or "Kemet Reiki".  In a religious sense, it has been known as "laying of  hands".

Reiki  is a Japanese word that literally means universal life energy. (Rei) “Universal Life” and (Ki) means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice.  Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. We like to call it a massage to the soul.
